Let’s Work Collectively

A number of government projects or schemes go in vain. Although these projects can be highly beneficial, yet many of them can't be implemented in the desired way due to lack of awareness. Only if people are made aware on time, the chances of the projects’ success become higher. Hum Rahi Project has been conceived to generate awareness in this regard.

Not just government projects it also makes people aware about different career choices, and technological fields open to them. Besides creating awareness, giving counselling and digitization of data, seeking sponsors for education and financial help for career setups also comes under this project. Awareness is created through films, newspapers, radio or seminars. Special tuitions are made available for children. This project has been a great helping hand in our ration servicesto the elderly during covid times. Activites under this project are taken up as follows.

• 1. Financial level:

  2. Our aim is to provide a better life to the elderly and differently-abled people and help them in every possible way. Aarohan provides financial help to theneedy disabled persons for their medical treatment, or for study, orstart-upsand new business ventures, etc.

• 2. Career Counselling:

  2. We provide in depth career counselling based on individual's profile and interests. Our panel of counselling experts will help you devise strong career plans. Personal counselling sessions are held with one or more of our panel of expert educators and counsellors. A special MOU has beensigned with a coaching institute Bulls Eye for providing coaching at concessional rates. Special Tutors are available for special children.

• 3. Covid Awareness & Counselling:

  2. During the COVID-19 pandemic all members of society, persons with disabilities have felt depressed. New emerging realities of working from home, temporary unemployment, online-schooling of children, and lack of contact with other family members, friends and colleagues...It takes time to get used to the new normal. Adapting to lifestyle changes such as these, and managing the fear of contracting the virus and worry about people close to us who are particularly vulnerable, are challenging for all of us. These can be particularly difficult for people with mental health conditions. Fortunately, there are lots of things that we can do to look after our own mental health and to help others who may need some extra support and care. Expert advice is provided to people to cope with challenges in these telling times.

• 4. Psychological Counselling:

  2. Physiological Counselling is also provided by experts to all disabled persons attached with Aarohan. It helps to increase their social participation, work as a team member and interact productively with other service users in their home. Each psycho-education session includes a mental state/orientation assessment, and a mood/feelings assessment. Various activities like Talking sessions, Relaxation sessions, Psycho-education sessions & Creative Sessions are held time to time.
